09.04 am – Had breakfast.

12.56 pm – Started preparing the oven for grilling.

The grills.

Covered it with aluminum foil to reduce washing.

Took out the cold 12 hour nicely marinated chicken and mutton from the fridge.

Looks good.

Lay them out on the grill nicely.

Put it into the oven and

let it roast at 150°C for 10 minutes. (which I think is too long.)

Began cooking the leftover marinade.

Lesson learned previously.

Smells good~

Started preparing the vegetables and

toasts.

Used the cooked marinade as

toast spread.

Raw vegetable, sliced.

Layer 1, lettuce.

Layer 2, cucumber.

Layer 3, red bell pepper.

By the time I was at layer 3, the meat was already done.

Placed all of it over the base.

Onions to top it off. ~fuh~ Damn tasty!

06.19 pm – Went to Ferringhi Garden for the first time.

A damn posh area for bluffing girls fine dining.

You gotta be prepared for a budget of less than RM100 per person.

The koi pond.

Graded A by MPPP.

The entrance from the back, where you park your car.

The place where Shane and Ishuet booked their private engagement dinner.

Finger food.

Peanuts.

The cake made by Lee Sin Cake House. Took 7 days.

The menu.

My place card.

The guestbook.

The man and woman of the night.

Ferringhi Garden’s toilet signs.

Ladies and

gents.

The flowers.

The appetizer.

The truffle tomato soup.

I actually ordered prawns with mutton but decided not to ask for a change as the waiters were already having a tough time recognizing the dishes everyone ordered.

Had lots of beer, red wine and

tea along the way.

Dessert.

Cutting the cake.

Pouring the wine.

Yam seng!

And, oh, happy birthday too!

“Hey baby, where’s my smooch?”

“There you go.”

12.30 am – The party continues in Soi 11 and Zenzibar. Received the invite for Zenzibar’s 1 Year anniversary from Sam.

02.22 am – Ate Nasi Kandar Beratur for supper.

The yummy yummy dishes.

My favourite 4 dishes. Lady’s fingers, beef rendang, cabbage and fish curry.

The stuff you pick to make up your big bowl of yong tau fu.

Extra dishes.

The very bland tasting chilli sauce.

However, I liked this. The minced pork soy sauce gravy was awesome! I didn’t know until a week later that they were famous for their hakka mee.

The yong tau fu.

Fish jelly? What fish jelly?

11.00 pm – The Classic aka Keulraesik. BEST!! Definitely one of my top 3 Korean movies.

banana toasts and

soft boiled eggs.

11.25 am – Went to Public Bank,

took a number and waited for my turn to fix my online account and Visa problems.

12.00 pm – Waited quite long although I’m just 5 numbers in front. Turns out there was an issue with a family trying to open 3 savings account together, husband, wife and an elderly lady. Decided to go eat lunch at Evergreen vegetarian restaurant opposite and come back later.

Lunch.

12.25 pm – Returned and got it done.

01.30 pm – Got a haircut.

02.02 pm – Came back and saw 2 of the males missing. SHIT.

02.49 pm – Logged into public bank’s online service portal for the first time.

04.26 pm – A mail for me came today.

It was actually the stuff I ordered 4 days ago. So fast.

So fast!

A total of 160 catnip seeds. Damn! That’s a lot!

04.57 pm – Afternoon break.

05.14 pm – The sunflower in my garden is now ready for harvesting.

And so I snipped off the brown, dry flower

Next, I started to plant one of the most effective mosquito repellents in the world.

The super tiny catnip seeds.

Planted a row of it.

07.37 pm – Went to Tesco for some grocerying. I was kinda surprised when the cashier asked me if I wanted to pay for the plastic bags or buy an eco bag as it was ‘no plastic bag Monday’ for all shopping centers in Penang.

As it was just RM1, I thought why not?

The fruits and vegetables bought.

The other stuffs.

08.43 pm – Had stir fried vegetables,

deep fried fish,

winged beans,

deep fried brinjals and

pork soup for dinner.

The fair Chinese lady is not friendly. When I asked for additional soup, I only get a small refill. Super Lai Lai was the best in Penang. I’ve not been able to find a replacement since they left.

The garlic soy sauce.

Bowl for 2.

Slept for as much as I could.

12.00 pm – Watched Mark Gungor’s Laugh Your Way.

04.38 pm – Started to make homemade applesauce.

First, remove the skin from the apple.

Then, decore it.

Next, slice the apple up into tiny chunks.

Throw them all into a pot and fill it with enough water.

Put it on top of a small to medium fire.

Let it cook for half an hour.

By then it should be soft.

Put in a pinch of brown sugar.

Put in an inch of cinnamon.

Mash the apples.

It should look something like this.

The reason why applesauce is preferred to apple is because the pectin levels are higher once you cook apples. We want pectin as it decreases stool weight.

05.18 pm – Late lunch.

Yoghurt.

08.19 pm – Dinner.

Yoghurt again, as it is the most important item that replenishes the good bacteria in the intestines.
