10.45 am – Breakfast was apples and

Bought Sarah’s kuih talam in front of Maybank Jelutong.

12.18 pm – Wanted to visit SPCA Penang and see if there’s anything we could help out in, but too bad it was closed when we arrived.

Cheap and good economy rice.

01.22 pm – Withdrew lots of money for conversion into Indonesian Rupiah.

01.30 pm – Went to Queen Street’s Vashnavee Beauty Palace to

get Vivian’s eyebrow plucked.

01.44 pm – After that, we walked into every money changer along Jalan Kapitan Keling to compare and get the best rate for MYR to IDR conversion.

1 MYR = 2750 IDR. That was the best rate we could get and M Mohamed Kassim was the highest among all.

The Sunday I Went To Flare Pub Of Batu Ferringhi

01.00 pm – Went down to Genting coffee shop.

Tapau-ed from this stall,

this stall,

and this stall.

01.30 pm – “So what did you get for me?”

Sorry dude. Nothing. The pork leg rice is for me.

The laksa is for me and Vinny.

02.00 pm – Went over to 7 Eleven. Bought ourselves

a drink.

07.30 pm – Went to Gelugor’s to

pump in some gas.

08.00 pm – Celebrated

Su Venn’s birthday.

Happy birthday!

Taking a photo in the midst of a photo taking session. Cool leh?

At 9.32, the message to go to Flare came in. Cool. It’s on. Decided to stay at Su Venn’s till about 11.

11.30 pm – Flare of Batu Feringghi.

For the first time.

The first to arrive was Wen Huan. Tried Hoegaarden for the first time. The glass is actually BIGGER than it looks in the picture.

a Stella Artois.

The most interesting thing in Flare were the male and female wash basins.

It’s just too cool. The funnier one is the male one, cause you have to pull the balls to get water running. hahahaha!

Then at 12.11am, a disappointing message came in.

We were so shocked and angry. I almost replied…

The one I actually sent…

At 12.29, the final sms came in.

6 Things I Need to mention.

1. At 12.01am you are already late.

2. Flare is at fucking Batu Ferringhi, not Upper Penang Road. It’s so fucking far!

3. Wen Huan and I have already bought 3 big glasses of Hoegaarden (RM28 each) and a Stella Artois (RM18). Without tax, it’s already RM102.

4. Alcohol cannot finish then baru invite us to the party? You don’t “use” friends for leftovers. Your friends are not perempuan simpanan.

5. You could still come. It’s not as if the alcohol will rot in the next hour.

6. If you wanna change plans, mention it earlier. For example, 11pm would be a far better time than 12.11am.

Anyone would be pissed too if they were to travel all the way to Batu Ferringhi, wait for more than half an hour in a pub on an empty Sunday night, bought more than a hundred dollars worth drinks and get flaked out on!

03.00 am – Nasi beratur masjid kapitan keling.

~yum.

12.00 pm – Lunch with buddies.

Was on the way to fetch Anthony Ngo from the coastal highway when Shawn and I noticed something that nampak tak berapa logik. We saw 3 flimsy metal bars planted on the ground nearby the traffic lights where we were stopping, thinking how in the world it’s gonna stop the boat if the entire thing were to move?

Today, we tried out Kedai Makanan BB, somewhere behind Old Town Bayan Baru.

Had myself a plate of economy rice and

a bowl of laksa.

02.30 pm – Slept.

04.30 pm – Checked out the new Honda City 2009.

Singapore’s version of the CD player dashboard.

Thailand’s version of the USB MP3 player dashboard. I’m hoping Malaysia gets this version.

The Fun Friday At Tiger Arms Of Upper Penang Road

10.00 am – Woke up. Did not sleep well last night. I was semi awake all the while. Can’t find a reason for it. Spent time thinking about where I can most likely find solid colored backgrounds in Penang.

11.30 am – Picked up Daryl from Spansion. Realized that we had cravings. The tom yam kind. And there’s only 1 place nearby that’s cheap and good. Bayan Baru market.

Sat at lucky number 8.

I had Lai Hoe’s with some

side dishes.

Merahnyaaaaa.

This fella below came about 15 minutes later.

02.30 pm – Updated famouschris.

Sliced it up.

05.30 pm – And then Joachim called.

John had no choice but to go all the way to the beaches of Tanjung Bungah, where Joachim stays, to collect some stuff for an event tomorrow.

On the way back, this fella stopped by to refuel and while that happened, he told me about the many benefits of having a Smile card. So, atas nasihat John, I signed up for one.

07.00 pm – Updated famouschris.

08.00 pm – Dinnered at Subway, E-Gate.

Sorry for keeping you guys waiting.

Had turkey breast.

This fella ate a foot long’s worth. You monster you.

Decided to test each flavour.

After testing 1 of each, I finally found the winner of Subway’s tastiest cookie award.

Coconut. (far left)

10.00 pm – After that, Anthony requested that we go rejuvenate ourselves in a bar. =.=”

Alcoholic say la alcoholic. Yea, yea.. rejuvenatemyass.

And so we went to Tiger Arms, UPR.

Had a pint of Kilkenny and a pint of Guinness.

Several people popped in and out along the night. Like these 3.

(Removed by request)

Joline : Come la…. come la….

Joseph : Wei… behave la.. she’s just behind la..

Anthony was kinda ‘lost’ after 6 pints. 6 pints. Siao lang. And here’s proof of his ‘lostness’.
