07.23 am – As the 24 hours to my bike rental was still not up yet, Vivian and I took a ride around Jl Poppies 1 to check out the many, many restaurants that we came across during the night. However, only very few were open and Rumah Makan Bamboo Corner was one of those.

A pretty simple restaurant with the prices written on blackboards around the outer walls.

The menu.

The breakfast page. Although operation starts at 9am, we were served nevertheless.

Balinese coffee.

Nasi goreng.

Mie goreng.

A piece of banana honey pancake.

Total damage.

09.34 am – Returned the bike and took a walk around Jl Pantai Kuta for some last minute shopping.

Walked into the already opened Matahari Kuta Square for last minute souvenir shopping.

The foodstuff section.

The Indomies.

10.39 am – Filled in the Tune Hotel Kuta’s guest feedback form and checked out.

Got ourselves a transport to bring us to the airport.

Our luggage.

Our extra luggage.

Bye Tune Hotels. It was good while it lasted.

The Balinese altar by the exit.

10.49 am – And off we go into the streets of Kuta.

The chariot sculpture nearby the airport.

Ngurah Rai again.

10.57 am – Ngurah Rai International Airport.

Went to AirAsia’s airport guest services counter,

took out our passports and

got our itinerary printed out.

The many, many Australians by the check in counters.

The check in counters to our AirAsia flight to Kuala Lumpur was still closed.

The amount of IDR left.

Went to toilet and saw aquariums above the urinal.

Cool.

Checked out the super expensive souvenir shops around the area.

And we waited.

11.53 am – Finally, we checked in our luggage and proceeded towards the departure hall.

Got our passports stamped.

Saw this sign while walking around

Bali airport’s departure hall duty free section.

Went to toilet again.

Potpourri by the washing area.

The free internet counters.

01.46 pm – And off we go. Bye Bali! I will miss you lots! Will definitely be back, but not so soon.

Airasia flight attendants doing their safety demonstrations.

It was a cloudy day.

02.30 pm – By 1pm we were actually pretty hungry as we decided try out AirAsia’s meals.

04.05 pm – Arrived at New World Park.

The outdoor seats.

The entrance.

The new menu.

The most value for money RM21.50 set meal in the entire Penang Island (some say Butterworth).

The best out of this is the “Our Signature” mushroom soup. It’s the no.1 mushroom soup in the world.

For me, any of the main course rocks.

You will pick a delicious one even with your eyes closed.

The fish and poultry sections are the ones with the most choices.

The meat and

chef specialties section are more expensive but worth every single cent.

Sat myself at the far corner.

Decorations.

Sat by myself for more than 45 minutes, waiting. 🙄

04.52 pm – Ordered a baked french onion soup and

a mushroom soup. Winner = mushroom soup.

Zurene ordered lemon tea while

I had green tea. Winner = green tea (can refill ma) 😈

Complimentary bread and

butter with every set meal.

Everybody, say hello to Zurene Cheah of FunNstaff!

The fillet of fish almondine was delicious. Really.

However, the clear winner between the two was the seafood kebab. Rich in texture and filled with lots and lots of

fish meat,

squid,

raisins + capsicums,

broccoli and

prawns. Damn, it’s good!

06.40 pm – Headed over to the ice cream corner.

The ice cream freezer that

houses 6 different flavours.

Winner = yam ice cream topped with chocolate rice.

The Thursday I Had Indo Mie For Breakfast After A Long Hiatus

08.30 am – The PC arrived.

09.00 am – And this is how I cook Indo Mie.

(I’ve ALWAYS prefered Indo Mie to Maggi Mee)

Had eggs boiled by the side while preparing.

First, you bring the water to a boil.

While the pot normal temperatured water gets heated up, you bring out the packed sauces and oil

and squeeze them out onto the plate.

Once the pot of water starts boiling, you throw the noodles in.

After 5 short minutes, you tapis the water from noodles

and throw them onto the plate where you’ve already squeezed out the sauces.

Next, stir and stir.

Add some side dishes (in my case, eggs) and finally, you’re done. ~yum

I need a servant 👿

09.30 am – Opened up the new box of 50 tea bags

to make myself a jug of green tea.

10.00 am – Started preparing the files needed by the sick PC before formatting.

Phase 1 : Prepare

Step 1.01 : Open up the PC

and check out the insides.

Step 1.02 : Load the necessary applications from the healthy PC

into the pendrive. Loaded some songs as well.

Step 1.03 : Got ready the CDs.

Step 1.04 : Powered on the sick PC and loaded songs from the pendrive. (So that I feel happier while working)

Step 1.05 : Check out what programs the sick PC uses. This is to help you determine the drivers needed by some of the sick PC’s hardware.

Step 1.06 : Checked out the motherboard version.

Step 1.07 : Backed up files from the Desktop

and My Documents into

another drive.

Step 1.08 : Searched for the drivers online

downloaded

and moved them into the USB pendrive.

End of phase 1.

01.00 pm – Lunch break!

Went to Church Street’s Kafeteria dan Hotel Eng Loh for a plate of

chicken rice. ~yum

Double chicken rice chilli. ~yum

02.30 pm – Came back and saw Poslaju’s sorry note. ~damn. Now I’ll have to go to town again to collect the RAM stick.

Step 2.01 : Formatted C/ drive and

installed a fresh copy of Windows XP Performance Edition.

07.00 pm – Went to Poslaju’s Penang office in Victoria Street

07.30 pm – Wanted to eat the Chinese bawang-lebih-burger cooked by an uncle and his family in a van in Tanjung Bungah but too bad it wasn’t open today.

And so we went to Seahorse’s lok lok instead.

We had hair core,

jiew hu eng chai,

Taiwan sosej,

virgin hums,

siputs,

ohs

and fried tomyam maggi.

09.00 pm – Opened up the envelop and stuck this piece of 512 DDR RAM memory stick into the PC’s motherboard.

Viola, it’s ready.
