04.49 am – I was actually awake since 4am, but only decided to take breakfast at 4.49am.

05.52 am – Reached the airport. I have never woken up so early and reach the airport so early before in my life.

Checked in and got out boarding pass.

06.35 am – Was on the plane by this time. (my watch is about 15 min faster)

07.00 am – Loved the clouds.

Watched the sun rise from above the clouds. Life felt perfect.

07.44 am – Arrived in LCCT KL.

The entire place was pretty empty.

07.51 am – Saw AirAsia’s check in machine.

Tried to check in to my next flight.

Touched ‘Check-In’.

Touched ‘Scan Itinerary’ and amazingly, it recognized the bar code printed on the paper. Awesome stuff.

Selected ourselves and

touched ‘Confirm’. And then it asked to scan our passport and this was where it failed. It just couldn’t scan our passport properly, no matter how many thousand times we tried, no matter from which angle. WTF?

And so we had no choice but to line up and check in at the super long queues.

Less than 10 minutes later, we got our boarding pass.

08.22 am – Headed towards OldTown and had breakfast.

Everyone’s favourite nasi lemak ayam rendang.

08.50 am – Took a free newspaper from the stand and read the news

while waiting for the next flight out from LCCT to Bali. One advice for Bali go-ers. You can wear shorts all the way. No need for long pants as the weather is super hot in both Malaysia and Bali. It’s lighter and you have more space in your luggage that way.

09.35 am – Was already by our departure gate, T12.

Connected to LCCT’s free wireless internet and did some time wasting there.

09.57 am – Our plane.

10.05 am – Checked out AirAsia’s new 2010 menu.

mmMmm…. Looks delicious…..

~yum~

Can’t wait to try it on the way back!

The drinks and the instant noodles. The best instant noodles are the ones served on Thai AirAsia. I had it once during my 2nd trip to Bangkok in 2009.

(You should check out my 1st trip too (2008), if you have not seen it.

11.09 am – We were given Indonesia’s customs declaration form and arrival/departure card to fill in.

11.09 am – Caught an aircraft’s contrail.

11.13 am – Felt thirsty.

01.25 pm – And we landed. yay!! I was so damn excited. Like a little boy.

The first Balinese structure that I came across while on the way out of the arrival hall. I noticed that all the gates at the entrances to everywhere were sort of like divided into half symmetrically.

01.43 pm – And as I left the airport, I saw my name held by someone who looked like a character from a Lat comic strip.

Everyone say hi to Dean, the highest rated driver in Bali as reviewed by thousands of his previous customers in

TripAdvisor.

The man behind the group called ‘Drivers With Distinction’. Definitely value for money. Paid a total of RM300 for 1½ days tour.

The dashboard of his newly bought

Toyota Kijang aka Innova.

Caught the first few glimpse of Bali.

Bali teens.

01.56 pm – First stop was Pawon Pasundan in Jl Kediri 2, Kerobokan.

At first, from the looks of the outside, I thought I was gonna be ripped off. The place looked pretty well maintained compared to the other surrounding buidlings.

The surrounding scenery was nicely done. One of the nice stuff was the nice looking bridge by the nice looking pond. Nice!

Got ourselves a nice private hut.

Had a waiter to serve all of our needs. Need chili? Ask him. Need more water? Ask him. Need extra plate? Ask him. Best service!

A picture of us.

The menu.

The food.

The drinks.

Nasi Oncom. RM2.

Cah Tauge-Tahu-Ikan Asin (bean sprouts with salted fish). RM4. Cheap.

Sapi Serundeng (beef with fried coconut shreds). RM3. Cheap.

Flying Gurame (flying fish). RM13. Cheap! Definitely worth your money. I will definitely recommend this place to anyone arriving in Bali’s airport during lunch hour as Pawon Pasundan is near the airport.

06.30 am – Rushed back to Island Glades from Batu Maung for this.

07.08 am – On the way back to Batu Maung, PCJ’s accelerator got stuck.

It just didn’t want to come back up.

Luckily it happened at a safe location. Had Dad take care of it. Thanks, Dad! Thanks Mr Tan for helping me push it to a safer location.

07.20 am – Had a quick breakfast of oats (Thanks Mr Tan) and

apples (Thanks Vinny).

07.44 am – Was on our way to the airport. Thanks Mr Tan for picking us up.

08.00 am – Checked in in time.

08.15 am – Was already waiting at the gate.

08.17 am – 2 minutes later.

Firefly’s ATR 72-500 propeller planes.

The seating arrangement of 2 by 2.

The Firefly branded buckle.

08.28 am – Our first holiday away from Penang. hehe.

08.40 am – A birds eye view of Penang.

The clouds.

08.42 am – I liked the fact that there was a stewardess serving us free drinks on the plane.

Mango and blackcurrant juice.

Holiday mood officially : ON.

08.47am – Spotted a rainbow.

09.07 am – The big ass Langkawi airport welcoming sign.

Headed towards arrivals.

The crowd.

09.20 am – Got ourselves a taxi van for RM24.

I don’t really know why they’d need such a big van for the 2 of us but I didn’t mind as long as the price was the same.

Our driver for the day was Encik Mohd Hanif Bin Abd Rahman. Thanks for the lift.

10.11 am – Met the host of our stay at Pondok Keladi, Marc. Thanks for showing us around the place.

Was showed around the very green and peaceful Pondok Keladi.

I liked the concept of the common area.

Pretty wide and spacious. Equipped with a full kitchen and wifi.

Got acquainted with the other residents like Gadget, who was the most lovable dog of all,

Ben,

(sorry, forgot your name) and

Melissa.

The pathway to my room, guarded by a sleeping security guard.

The pathway to the other rooms.

Slept in “ENAM” throughout our stay Langkawi.

The RM95 per night double bedroom.

The mini fridge.

The luggage stand.

The window overlooking the trees.

The shower and the toilet seat.

The sink.

11.03 am – Our car for the trip arrived, arranged by Marc. Got it for RM50 per day.

11.10 am – Fueled her up.

11.18 am – 1st stop. Restoran Nasi Kandar Tomato.

When I arrived, I noticed that the variety was wide but was skeptical towards the quality.

Only after tasting it did I realize that the stuff here is delicious!

12.17 pm – Drove over to the Oriental Village for the cable car.

The bridge connecting the village and the car park.

The super simple map and directions.

Eh? This ain’t Bangkok, is it? kapppppp

12.21 pm – After a bit of weaving through the boring Oriental Village, we arrived at the entrance and got us a pair of tickets for RM15 each.
