Is God willing to prevent evil, but not able?
Then he is not omnipotent.
Is he able, but not willing?
Then he is malevolent.
Is God able and willing?
Then from where comes evil?
Is he neither able nor willing?
Then why call him God?
Think about these 2 quotes.
- Too many cooks spoil the soup.
- Many hands make light work.
Are they contradicting each other? My dad thinks so.
However, I don’t. Imagine TMNet helpdesk. ‘Many hands make light work’ makes sense when you have 10 instead of 1 operator taking in the calls from people. ‘Too many cooks spoil the soup’ does not apply here. Right?
It’s the same I guess, when you put it in a way where there are 10 managers instead of 1, managing the operators telling them what to do and what not. In this case, ‘too many cooks spoil the soup’ makes sense and not ‘many hands make light work’.
Conclusion is, they don’t contradict each other.
