01.03 pm – KFC!!!
01.16 pm – Bought back both types of egg tart available to the hotel lobby.
The ordinary one.
The creamy one. Soooooooooooooooooooooooo good!!!!!!
01.33 pm – Us in the van. So sad!!!
Streets of Taipei.
Our young driver was kind enough to show us the area nearby Taoyuan Airport where you could find girls selling betelnut by the streets. He said you could actually find sexier ones if you went to Taichung, as the regulations are more laxed.
02.16 pm – Arriving at the airport vicinity.
EVA Air office.
Approaching Taoyuan airport’s departure gates.
Entrance that leads directly to the airline’s check in counters. So cool!
AirAsia’s long, long, long line.
Lucky for us, I did web checkin for us on Day 0. ^.^
As our luggages were over 7kg each, we had to check them in.
Only 2 out of 8 of us escaped having to pay AirAsia TWD 2,975 which divides up to about RM51 per person.
Lesson learned. Next time, just buy luggage online.
Our boarding pass, separate from the one used to check in.
02.45 pm – The very large boarding and immigration entrance with a huge departure times board and clocks displaying time from different cities all over the world.
Actually, I find that the tobacco and alcohol products in Taoyuan airport’s international departure concourse are much cheaper than Malaysia’s.
03.15 pm – Since Anthony and I were unhappy that we didn’t get to eat Taiwanese beef noodles soup, we went to get ourselves a bowl at the food court.
TWD 170 noodles mixed in broad-bean sauce.
Anthony’s pretty expensive TWD 200 spicy beef noodle soup.
The beef looked big though.
03.36 pm – Checked out the outdoor smoking area.
The area was pretty ventilated and cooling as a result.
04.20 pm – By this time, we’re already on the plane.
AirAsia took off on time. Awesome!
07.01 pm – The lasagna was pretty filling actually.
08.56 pm – Arrived and waited for our bags by the belt.
09.22 pm – Because of AirAsiaX arriving on time at LCCT by 08.40pm, we managed to catch our flight back to Penang at 09.50pm.
Good job, AirAsia!
Changed back to Digi from Taiwan Mobile TaGeDa.
09.41 pm – And oh, AirAsia implemented a new system where your bags had to have this 7kg weight approval tag before being allowed to board.
Taiwan visas, stamped!
10.20 pm – And something unexpected happened. AirAsia wished me happy birthday along with the other passengers on board. HOW COOL IS THAT??????????????
10.41 pm – Watched the Hutchens brothers of National Geographic fame cruising along the Yangtze River.
11.32 pm – Arrived in my room.
