12.33 pm – Upon exiting the gate,

we got ourselves a taxi.

Paid RM30 for a 15 min trip to town.

Us.

In the taxi.

Reporting.

Sights of KK town.

12.50 pm – Arrived at our hotel.

Walked up to the reception which was on the 1st floor.

Check in / out time.

Eden54’s very reasonable room rates.

2 of the friendliest and most accommodating people.

Left our luggage in Eden54 for safekeeping while we climb Mount Kinabalu.

Rested. By the way, the lady on the right is Ling Ling. Very awesome lady.

Newspaper we cannot get back in Penang. In any case, the only newspaper I read is this.

01.09 pm – Went down to the fruit shop next to Eden54.

Took a walk around the block.

Jln Ewan.

The latest and 2nd branch of Cock & Bull.

Jesselton Point’s entrance.

Thank you, thank you.

Pretty spacious entrance.

By the boats.

The very rubbish strewn water by the pier.

The view overlooking the sea.

A very big container.

The picture taken above.

Thought of eating here for dinner.

Wallpapers by the entrance.

Us.

Walked by Suria Sabah, which was the latest shopping mall in Kota Kinabalu.

Went to Tong’s in Merdeka Square to buy some accessories for the climb to Mount Kinabalu.

Got myself a ski cap for

RM9.90 and

a raincoat for

RM3.90.

After we were done with out shopping, it started raining outside.

Pretty heavy actually.

What to do, wait lo.

I wonder if the girls in Menggatal are as gatal as they come. 😈

After a while, we made our way back to the supermarket on the ground level of our hotel and discovered lots of imported stuff.

Even the Milo’s imported from

Australia.

The most expensive tin of Milo I have ever seen!!

02.37 pm – We began our journey to the foot of Mount Kinabalu, Kinabalu Park, where we’ll be staying for a night. Got ourselves a taxi for RM120.

Ling Ling helping 2 China guys who were going with us in the taxi.

Music videos to keep you and I entertained.

Actually along a big portion of the journey, it was raining very heavily.

03.22 pm – The taxi stopped

for these 2 to pee by the roadside.

Geoffrey being amazed by Sabah trees and

me.

His view.

03.59 pm – During the last hour of the 2 hour ride to Kinabalu Park, the fog was pretty thick, so thick that you couldn’t see a thing. But not to our driver. He was pretty confident and driving very fast in the thick fog cause he’s Adin Schumacher.

The weather around was all pretty grayish and dull.
