Just can’t get enough of the black soybean milk.

07.01 am – How a typical China wall power outlet looks like.

08.03 am – Everyone, say hi to Kong Lin!

09.03 am – Today, we started our 1 hour journey to Mutianyu, the best and highly recommended section of the Great Wall of China that is less crowded than Badaling, nearer than Simatai, has the national first rate cable car, and the coolest attraction at Mutianyu which is the toboggan sled ride!!!!

09.37 am – We were so excited to see the Great Wall of China from the road.

We figured since 7-Eleven was the nearest to our hotel, we should give it a go for our first Beijing breakfast experience.

Freshly steamed, filled buns on display by the counter.

07.01 am – We just packeted eveything in a plastic bag and took it back to our hotel room.

6D5N Taipei Day 3 : JSP, Danshui, Fisherman Wharf, Lover Bridge, XXL Chicken, Tai Dan, Lu Rou Fan, Luxy,

11.49 am – Woke up and found myself a bright and sunny day.

Arrived a minute later at one of the only few places that are open in Taipei for breakfast.

Is that what JSP stands for? Just Start a Powerful day?

Pork sandwich for breakfast.

A cup of coffee.

01.10 pm – We started our day. Our journey today was to the coastal area of Danshui.

Not a seat available in the packed MRT. The Saturday crowd.

View outside.

Little did we know that we had to change trains to get to Danshui.

Luckily we asked and were able to make it in time for the next train to Danshui.

02.00 pm – 1 hour later we arrived at the coastal town of Danshui.

The view was beautiful.

There were many stalls by the side of the walkway, facing the sea which many of us stopped by along the way to the pier.

And then this ice cream stall caught my attention.

~yum~

02.15 pm – Reached the pier and

bought our tickets.

Cost us TWD100 for a return trip.

Waited for our boat to come.

Some other company’s boat.

02.34 pm – Lined up for our boat.

More modern than the other boat.

02.38 pm – And off we went to the Fisherman’s Wharf.

The hotel that was still under construction when we arrived.

The funnily shaped triangular rocks.

The Lover’s Bridge.

The wharf.

02.47 pm – The arrival.

Cool winds and clear blue skies!

The really long walkway of Danshui’s Fisherman’s wharf.

At the edge.

By the Lover’s Bridge.

We wanted to walk onto the rocks but it was just too dangerous.

03.09 pm – And off we went to the other end of the wharf.

03.12 pm – Nearing Danshui’s almost completed hotel/resort.

The viewing tower/platform.

Little did we know that it could actually move!

03.26 pm – While the guys took a rest, I ran all the way back to the beginning

from the land entrance of the fisherman wharf to find a toilet.

03.29 pm – After much searching, I found it.

03.49 pm – Met up with the rest of the guys who were taking a rest in

Latte.

Outside, you could find

Andy enjoying his XXL fried chicken from

the American Fried Chicken Room next door.

04.02 pm – Saw a couple of people cycling in a two seater bicycle and I thought of Vivian. ♥

5D4N Philippines Day 5 : DM Residente, Philippine Airport Tax, KLIA-LCCT, AirAsia Self Check In Kiosk, LCCT Food Garden

09.10 am – Woke up to a very sad Monday.

As the saying goes, ‘All good things must come to an end’.

09.30 am – After successfully checking out, we hopped into the van

and proceeded towards the airport.

Fields Avenue, the area where we stayed in is actually very near the airport.

09.43 am – Security checks by the entrance.

The very empty, open spaced airport.

There were a total of 4 security checks beginning from the entrance to the airport and my bottles of San Miguel and Red Horse were confiscated from me. =(

Received our boarding pass but everyone leaving from Diosdado Macapagal International Airport had to pay PHP600 worth of airport tax.

I don’t understand why it isn’t included in our flight tickets.

10.26 am – The stalls at the departure lounge.

The only place that sells rice.

Salty and tastes like crap. Very unlike the usual Filipino food.

Went to get something more from Mister Donut.

Looks like shit. Tastes like shit.

Big Apple / J.Co is any day better than Mister Donut.

11.28 am – Began the long walk to

our plane.

Sat beside the giants again.

This time, we were all neighbours.

Directly beside each other.

12.53 pm – Ordered a drink only as the aircraft ran out of food?

Lucky they still have my favourite RM2 Shandong peanuts.

01.30 pm – The lack of sleep caught up to us.

03.26 pm – Landed in KLIA-LCCT.

Walked the long journey back to the arrival hall.

03.56 pm – Waited for Anthony to buy his duty free ciggies.

04.22 pm – Decided to give AirAsia’s check in kiosk another chance after it failed during my trip to Bali earlier this year

Today, it worked!

Checked in and printed out the boarding passes for the remaining 6 Penang brothers successfully.

04.27 pm – After that, I took the long walk

along the long corridor

to KLIA-LCCT’s new humongous food court called Food Garden.

BIG.

Naturally, the healthiest choice is mixed rice.

Penang’s nasi campur is any day better than this, but then again, this is the best that anyone can get at the moment.

05.19 pm – After the heavy meal at Food Garden, the 2 KL brothers continued their journey back home while the rest hung around Starbucks.

Lined up and

got ourselves drinks.

07.42 pm – Dinner at Taste Of Asia.

09.09 pm – Entered the domestic departure hall and

waited for our plane to arrive.

The pretty empty place on a Monday night.

10.47 pm – I actually wanted to order a Roast Chicken Thigh with BBQ Sauce but was told that they ran out of food supplies already.

11.02 pm – We were all so damn tired.

12.17 am – Home sweet home.

5D4N Philippines Day 4 : Kuwagos Grill, Glorietta Mall, Hard Rock Cafe Makati, Mang Inasal, DM Residente, Chowking, Wishing Well, San Mig Strong Ice, Tekki Garlic Chicken Yakiudon

10.53 am – Woke up with my roomie and went to Kuwagos Grill again for lunch.

The lower floor still going through renovations.

Ordered the super delicious adobong kangkung again.

Amapalaya con carne and

Chopsuey.

12.00 pm – Checked out of Isabelle Royale Hotel & Suites.

12.39 pm – Went to Glorietta Mall.

Just for a Hard Rock t shirt.

01.28 pm – Discovered a Mang Inasal in

Glorietta’s MRT station.

The menu on the wall.

Paborito Meal no.1. YUM!!!

02.12 pm – Walked around the shops in Glorietta’s MRT station and spotted Zagy.

Couldn’t help myself. Bubble milk tea is my favourite.

02.27 pm – Bid farewell to Makati City and started the long journey back to Angeles City.

Walking along the roadside, back to Victory Liner’s bus station in Cubao.

02.56 pm – Lined up at the counter.

Got our tickets and slept in the bus throughout the 1½ hours journey back to Angeles City.

05.12 pm – Arrived back at DM Residente.

As DM Residente also overbooked their Deluxe rooms, all 8 of us were upgraded to Suites for no extra charge. Love ko’ to!

My room number.

There’s the kitchenette.

The very spacious room.

The toilet.

Tried sleeping but couldn’t so I just watched tv instead. I am so getting used to having a room all to myself.

07.16 pm – Chowking for dinner.

We wanted to have Chowking for supper on the first night but too bad it was closed for cleaning.

‘Welcome to Chowking, sir.’

The menu on the board looks very Chinese-y.

My Lauriat.

Having the entire upper floor to ourselves.

08.02 pm – And the night begins..

Reached McDonald’s by foot.

The meeting point with our Filipino friends.

09.04 pm – Arrived at the highly recommended hangout spot in Angeles City called Wishing Well.

The stage where the band plays.

All night long, we just drank San Miguel. We knew we were so gonna miss San Miguel when we leave Philippines. =( Group picture with our hospitable and polite Filipino friends.

04.22 am – Supper consisted of a cup of Tekki Garlic Chicken Yakiudon.

~yum~

05.00 am – zzzzzZZZZZZZZZZZzzzzzzzz
