One weekend, I took the initiative to try out this restaurant that I’ve noticed several times before while passing by Sri Bahari road.
After a quick browse through of their 1 page menu,
I decided on a small pad ped fish,
tom yam mixed seafood,
fried belacan rice and
a bowl of my all time favourite thap thim krob for dessert.
The rice came and it was okay.
The sambal belacan came and it tasted okay.
The tom yam came, and it wasn’t okay. It was over flavoured. I don’t like it.
The pad ped fish came and I also didn’t like it. Not my cup of tea.
And then dessert.
Awful. The thab thim krob had ‘outsiders’ such as cendol and sago added to it which made it taste so much different. Chok Dee and Maa Roy are heaps and bounds better and more authentic. Conclusion is, I will never return.
