07.23 am – As the 24 hours to my bike rental was still not up yet, Vivian and I took a ride around Jl Poppies 1 to check out the many, many restaurants that we came across during the night. However, only very few were open and Rumah Makan Bamboo Corner was one of those.

A pretty simple restaurant with the prices written on blackboards around the outer walls.

The menu.

The breakfast page. Although operation starts at 9am, we were served nevertheless.

Balinese coffee.

Nasi goreng.

Mie goreng.

A piece of banana honey pancake.

Total damage.

09.34 am – Returned the bike and took a walk around Jl Pantai Kuta for some last minute shopping.

Walked into the already opened Matahari Kuta Square for last minute souvenir shopping.

The foodstuff section.

The Indomies.

10.39 am – Filled in the Tune Hotel Kuta’s guest feedback form and checked out.

Got ourselves a transport to bring us to the airport.

Our luggage.

Our extra luggage.

Bye Tune Hotels. It was good while it lasted.

The Balinese altar by the exit.

10.49 am – And off we go into the streets of Kuta.

The chariot sculpture nearby the airport.

Ngurah Rai again.

10.57 am – Ngurah Rai International Airport.

Went to AirAsia’s airport guest services counter,

took out our passports and

got our itinerary printed out.

The many, many Australians by the check in counters.

The check in counters to our AirAsia flight to Kuala Lumpur was still closed.

The amount of IDR left.

Went to toilet and saw aquariums above the urinal.

Cool.

Checked out the super expensive souvenir shops around the area.

And we waited.

11.53 am – Finally, we checked in our luggage and proceeded towards the departure hall.

Got our passports stamped.

Saw this sign while walking around

Bali airport’s departure hall duty free section.

Went to toilet again.

Potpourri by the washing area.

The free internet counters.

01.46 pm – And off we go. Bye Bali! I will miss you lots! Will definitely be back, but not so soon.

Airasia flight attendants doing their safety demonstrations.

It was a cloudy day.

02.30 pm – By 1pm we were actually pretty hungry as we decided try out AirAsia’s meals.
