When we arrived, there were still no customers yet as it had just opened.
The 54m bungy jump. It’s relatively low in height, compared to other AJ Hackett jumps.
A pack of golden retrievers by the entrance of AJ Hackett.
Dropped by the nearby Warung Murah for lunch.
Ayam bumbu.
Lunch.
Awesome!
12.43 am – Went back to AJ Hackett to watch someone jump.
01.37 pm – Went back to Jl Pantai Kuta for a massage.
Vivian’s pedicurist. Damn. She reminds me of someone.
My masseuse. Also reminds me of that same someone.
Hard at work.
Vivian’s super clean feet.
02.41 pm – Took a walk down Jl Pantai Kuta to check out all the shops in that row.
One thing you’ll notice in Bali is that all the shops, ALL, really, ALL the shops have a small basket of nasi jotan at the front steps of the entrance. Using banana palm leaves cut into small squares, the rice is placed accordingly and on top of a traditional holy bamboo tray known as ‘kumarang’. Additional decoration are placed on top of these rice offering as a way to appease the Gods.
At the end of it, Vivian bought herself a beach-y looking bamboo hat for IDR 75,000. She really did bargain hard. Really. Man, I actually felt pity for the pakcik who was trying his hardest to give her the lowest he can give. It’s definitely hard to sell stuff to Malaysians and Singaporeans.
Caught a pair of flies going at it.
05.26 pm – Dropped by Pantai Kuta.
The seahorse statues.
Took a relaxing stroll along a short portion of the stretch.
Found a spot, sat down
and watched the sunset.
05.58 pm – A Kuta horse carriage.
A kuta mini van choke full of passengers.
The most reliable taxi company in Kuta, Blue Bird.
06.07 pm – Decided to go to Warung Murni Kuta for an early dinner.
The drinks menu.
The food menu.
Our fruit juices.
5 star delicious authentic soto ayam. Really really delicious!
5 star delicious authentic ayam bumbu Bali. Super damn delicious!
Yum, yum.
07.44 pm – Stuff Vivian bought during the day.
08.21 pm – Got dressed for a night of fun.
Vivian’s sunburn lines.
08.42 pm – Arrived in Jl Legian. Passed by Engine Room. See the cage? You’ll find a girl dancing in it later on in the night.
Went to the Bali bomb memorial.
Vi Ai Pi, a bar right across the bomb memorial looked interesting.
Moreover, the happy hour promotion was still on.
Went in and ordered ourselves 2 glasses of strawberry daiquiri and
enjoyed the view from the top.
09.38 pm – Arrived in Pertamina, the company that monopolizes the petrol stations in Indonesia.
Lined up to get the motorbike refilled.
09.57 pm – Next stop, Hard Rock Bali.
Bali’s Hard Rock Cafe looked huge. We were in high spirits looking toward a good time when we were stopped by the bouncers fronting the entrance. (I thought it was free to enter Hard Rock?)
Turns out, Mr Botax was performing that night and the cover charge was IDR 90,000. WTF? In the end, we decided against it and left.
10.17 pm – Decided to go back to Warung Murni Kuta and support the pakcik and makcik who has been running the place since 30 years ago.
Bought 2 big bottles of Bintang Bir.
Mee sayur for supper. Paid for the food and drinks and gave them a big tip for such outstanding food and hospitality.
12.00 am – zzzzzzZZZZZZZZZZZZzzzzzzzzzzz
